Job Description

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Customer & Monetization startup to join a team of talented cross-disciplinary engineers whose main goal is to build the journeys & functionalities that will help onboard, guide and engage our users, anywhere in our site and apps, at any stage of their life!

What you will do:

• Define and implement cross-stack solutions along with your team’s members to solve customer’s problems
• Participate actively to your stack “Community Of Practice”, to bring the technical stack to the upper level
• Ensure your work is generic, scalable, in line with Deezer’s quality standards, as well as delivered in a smooth and efficient way 
• Proactively monitor, fix and improve performances and issues related to your scope
• Participate in moving from a Backend monolithic architecture to a service-oriented one, with a DevOps approach

Qualifications

This role is excellent for a person with:

•  2+ years of experience in building high-traffic applications using PHP
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID design principles, and architecture in a Backend environment
• Knowledge of MySQL and how to optimize queries and database structures
• Experience in working on large and complex code bases at scale
• A mindset focused on code performance & quality
• Knowledge of GO, GraphQL, TypeScript or Event Sourcing architecture is a big plus
