Job Description

B2B partnerships are at the heart of Deezer’s DNA and one of the main drivers of our growth. We are looking for a motivated B2B Analyst intern in the Strategic Planning & Business Intelligence team to support our Global Partnerships team. Your role will involve leveraging data for strategic planning and performance monitoring, supporting decision-making processes, and enhancing data quality across our partnership portfolio (both new and existing deals over all countries).

This is a 6-month internship starting in January 2025 based in Paris (gap year or end-of study internships). 

What You Will Do

  • Data Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses to identify trends, insights, and opportunities within existing and potential partnerships (evaluating new opportunities across key verticals and countries).
  • Deal sizing: Conduct business analysis and modelling (Business Plan) to forecast deal potential over the years ensuring accuracy and consistency. 
  • Interpret & Communicate Findings: Translate complex data into actionable insights and present these findings to stakeholders through compelling visualisations and reports.
  • Collaborative Business Intelligence: Work closely with cross-functional teams (such as Labels, Finance, Pricing and Data teams) to improve KPIs acumen and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitoring Performance: Track and assess the performance of existing partnerships (incl. Budget and reforecast exercises along with the Finance team), identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Support Decision Making: Provide analytical support for strategic decisions, including preparation for board meetings and C-level strategic analysis, helping to align partnership strategies with broader company goals.

Qualifications

This role is excellent for a person with:

  • Master’s student in Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and financial/business modelling.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal & written. Other language skills are a plus (e.g., Spanish, Italian).
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and balance short- and long-term projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excitement to work within a music-oriented environment is a big plus!
