Job Description

B2B partnerships are at the heart of Deezer’s DNA and one of the main drivers of our growth. We are looking for a Business Development Senior Manager to be responsible for building strategic relationships and close opportunities with key partners in the US and Canada, achieving sales goals and subscriber acquisition, focused on the following sectors: Retail (physical / digital), Gaming, Media and Telecommunications.

What you will do:

  • Lead & drive client pipeline: identify, pitch and execute strategic partner opportunities in the US and Canada, in collaboration with Head of BD Americas, with a focus on the following industries: Retail (physical / digital), Gaming, Media and Telecommunications.
  • Drive effective lead qualification processes; hands-on business modelling and forecasting revenue per initiative.
  • Maintain and document sales and deals pipeline with global tools and benchmark against similar deals in other regions.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations with partners and all key stakeholders involved with or affected by B2B projects.
  • Support and follow-up approvals for deals across cross-functional teams (such as Finance, Product, Tech, Legal), by developing business cases, articulating market opportunity and clarifying resource requirements.
  • Work closely with partner solutions, product, account management, and B2B marketing to ensure partnership deals are executed to their maximum potential.

Qualifications

What you will do:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development or partnerships in, or related to the following sectors: digital subscription services, digital retail, gaming, media, VAS for telecommunications.
  • Strong knowledge of and/or work experience in digital retail, gaming, media and/or telecommunications  is a plus.
  • Proven track record of signing complex deals with large companies and exceeding business goals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication abilities to influence outcomes externally and internally.
  • Strong understanding of B2B partnerships dynamics for subscription-based, premium services.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal & written. Other language skills are a plus (ie: Spanish)
  • Analytical mindset & strategic thinker.
  • Solid understanding and experience in marketing to be able to design launch plans & customer journeys
  • Strong Financial/Business modeling skills.
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working closely with others as a team despite not being in the same office / home working settings.
  • Experience working internationally and across cultures.
  • Ability to travel.
