Job Description

As part of the Operational Performance team, you will work with data analysts, data scientists and user researches to help the company have a 360° vision of our business & product.

Product analysts at Deezer are curious, autonomous and have a business-oriented mindset. We work closely with the Product managers to help them understand users’ behaviours & activity at different stages of their journey. Our goal is to analyze the product usage to identify issues & opportunities that could lead to the revamp of a page or the development of a new feature.

To achieve our goal, we need to keep an open and learner mindset in order to keep on developing new methodologies and analytical skills. 

What you will do

  • Work closely with product managers to understand their vision and needs
  • Take an active part in the product reporting :
    • Define and challenge product KPIs to support the product team in assessing the performance of their actions
    • Build your own data pipelines: from the logs to the final table using python, sql, spark.
    • Design, build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to make product usage data accessible, and easily understandable
    • Monitor the performance of a feature after its release
  • Be part of the product decision process :
    • Conduct data-driven and product-oriented analyses to build product recommendations and help stakeholders take the right decisions.
    • Run A/B tests to statistically assess the impact of a product change on our user base.
    • Collaborate closely with Data Science and User Research teams.


What we are looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position ideally in a tech environment
  • A degree in a quantitative related field or other significant experience
  • Proficient in SQL or equivalent
  • Data Visualization skills (e.g. Tableau)
  • Passion for solving complex problems with insights and analysis
  • A business-oriented mindset
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to own and drive projects with a creative mindset
  • Strong “One for all” team player attitude
  • Fluent in English
  • Hunger for learning
  • Affinity with the music industry :)

What would be the cherry on the cake

As we are always looking to improve our tools and methodologies, Python, Hive, Spark and strong data visualization skills among others are becoming closer allies. They allow us conduct deeper analyses and build advanced data flow management processes.

Those qualifications are not required but a strong interest is appreciated, our in-house Data University will ensure your upskilling :)
