Purpose: This position is responsible for developing and executing the global pricing strategy for Deezer through collaboration with Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance leaders. The role is responsible for continuously enhancing the pricing process to drive business growth and profitability.
Team/Reporting: This position will be part of the CRO Team - directly reporting into the company's COO.
Location: The role is based in Paris. Candidates can also be based in Berlin, Germany, but will need to work from Paris for the first 3 months.
Develop and implement pricing strategy across various markets and product lines to position the products based on the value and competitive situation.
Conduct pricing A/B tests and quantify the impact of different pricing models on Deezer's offerings
Segment Deezer userbase into various groups and build customized offers to maximize conversion and profitability
Identify and implement new creative pricing ideas or projects that boost company’s revenue
Run analysis to track & monitor pricing and associated activities on various offerings and target audiences.
Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing actions effectiveness.
Support the annual budget process on pricing issues as needed.
Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions.
Be a subject matter expert for all things related to pricing and support other departments in positioning their offerings.
Strong academic record and degree from at a top university in Economics, Mathematics, Business or other disciplines with a strong quantitative focus
3-5 years experience in Pricing, Controlling or Analytics (previous experience in subscription business and/or ecommerce would be a strong advantage)
Stellar analytical skills and distinctive understanding of numbers
Advanced MS Office skills (SQL/Python skills would be a plus)
Strong personality to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment
Quick perception and structured working methods
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English - French is a plus)
