Job Description

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract


With multiplying projects and broadening international reach, we are looking for a dynamic, innovative and passionate about music publishing, team member to join and provide the support to the Music publishing rights team in the upcoming challenges to conquer.

You will report to the Head of Publishing and will be based in Paris.

What will you do:

  • Collect, organize and analyse information regarding Deezer’s numerous services and offers
  • Work with Investments/Finance teams to prepare and evaluate margins and results of assigned accounts, publishing partnership deals
  • Work with Royalties/Reporting teams to track, evaluate and validate reports and invoices from publishers/collective management societies/performance rights organisations
  • Negotiate license terms with publishers/collecting societies worldwide covering Direct to Consumer and B2B Deezer services
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with music publishers/collecting societies
  • Execute in fast pasted and results oriented environment
  • Assist with licence renewals on a worldwide basis


What we are looking for:

  • Business or IP law degree
  • Fluent in English/French
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships outside and inside Deezer
  • Strong knowledge of music publishing and the music business in general with ideally 1-3 years of experience in the music industry, including music publishing
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Team player, resourceful, detail oriented and highly organised
