Job Description


As a Strategic Partnership Specialist EMEA you will help launch and develop strategic commercial partnerships to market, distribute and promote Deezer across verticals such as media and telco. The team you will join focuses on growing engagement and revenue by building positive relationships and unlocking value for Deezer and its partners. You will work on accounts in Germany with an initial focus on our new key strategic partner RTL+. You will perform thorough analysis, identify business opportunities, keep internal and external stakeholders well informed and meticulously execute partner projects.

The job will fit a driven junior professional looking to develop partner and project management skills. You will report to an experienced partner manager and depending on your performance will be able to gradually take on more responsibilities for your own projects. What you will do:

  • Work together with senior team members to cultivate positive and trusted long term relationships with our partners and understand their needs

  • Capture and analyse data to provide partner performance deep dives and make recommendations to maximise the potential of accounts.

  • Explore new ways to continuously improve customer journeys & user experience to increase acquisition, engagement and retention of our users

  • Coordinate partner marketing campaigns

  • Build strong relationships and work closely with Product, Data, Rights Acquisition and Marketing teams to support the development of product solutions, marketing initiatives and tracking methods to execute, steer and monitor our partnerships

  • Facilitate timely and successful project execution by efficiently communicating, coordinating and escalating if necessary 

  • Prepare regular business reviews for partners and for and with internal stakeholders such as product, artist relations, editorial and marketing

  • Assist in tracking the delivery of all commitments and terms negotiated in the contract (marketing campaigns, reporting, invoicing etc.)


What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Business, or another relevant degree

  • First experience in partner management, business development or key account management 

  • Good understanding of the digital music and entertainment space

  • Partner-oriented, hands-on, proactive and can-do attitude

  • Analytical, data-driven and tech-savvy

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills 

  • Fluent English (main working language) and German is required
