Job Description

The Team

The Core Product Startup builds and maintains deezer’s applications. The Tooling team creates simple, in-house, yet production quality tools to improve Deezer employees efficiency

Your mission : 

• Write and maintain high quality, tested and scalable code, and participate in code reviews.
• Participate in continuous improvement to help the team grow and be successful, with innovative solutions and tools.
• Ensure product quality by tackling bugs and requests from internal users and work with the QA analyst to help ensure a smooth review and testing flow for the team
• Contribute to long term direction with the help of the Engineering Manager to build simple, in-house, yet production quality tools
• Participate in the Scrum events and processes (daily, sprint planning, grooming, retrospective, demo).
• Work closely with Tech Leaders, Backend engineer, QA and Product Managers
• Share your knowledge with your teammates and with Deezer Engineering teams at large

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience(s) as a software engineer
• Strong knowledge in Backend on one of those: PHP, Golang, Typescript and interest in other ones.
• Interest with Frontend (ReactJS)
• Basic knowledge of web UX
• Strong experience in engineering - code versioning, tests, review
• Knowledge on basic Site Reliability Engineering skills (Monitoring, docker, git, MySQL, memcache, unix, network)
• Interest in continuous learning and technology watch.
• Problem-solver, rigorous, enthusiastic and team-spirit.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Good spoken and written English.
