Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team and help develop a data-driven mindset in the company.

We are part of the BI and Data Analytics division, whose mission is to find levers to further drive Deezer’s growth. Through our analyses and insights, we ensure Deezer is fitting our users’ needs because data is the voice of our customers.

As a Business Data Analyst, you will use statistics and business modelling techniques, turning hundreds of terabytes of data into insights, supporting business decisions. You will focus on a wide range of topics, from customer engagement and lifecycle analysis to offers performance, commercial strategy, content operations, AB tests, etc. 

What you will do

  • Own the monitoring and analysis of Editorial/Programmed Music and Non-music content on Deezer
  • Support and contribute towards the impact of programmed deezer content and its contribution to Business KPIs (eg: user registration / engagement / conversion)
  • Provide actionable insights and solutions to support content, business and commercial strategy.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs.
  • Conduct thorough data-driven analyses to help stakeholders take data-driven decisions and understand their business.
  • Design, build and maintain compelling data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Work closely with our business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Science and Market Research teams.


What we are looking for?

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position (data analysis, operations, commercial, consulting…) ideally in a tech environment.
  • A degree in a business or quantitative related field.
  • Proficient in SQL or equivalent.
  • Data Visualization skills (e.g. Tableau).
  • Experience solving complex problems with insights and analysis.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to own and drive projects with a creative mindset.
  • Strong “One for all” team player attitude.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Hunger for learning.
  • Affinity with the music industry :) 

What would be the cherry on the cake

As we are always looking to improve our tools and methodologies, Python, Hive, Spark among others are becoming closer allies. They allow us to conduct deeper analyses and build advanced data flow management processes.

Those qualifications are not required but a strong interest is appreciated, our in-house Data University will ensure your upskilling :)
