Job Description

The team:

Recently created, the multi-skills empowered team is dedicated to improve and grow the “Audiobooks” product which is a very recent product (launched in Sept. 20), result of a successful experimentation. 

This content deserves a specific experience, after launching Germany, now we are planning to globalise the product and become the first streaming music service with his own Audiobooks experience.


How about you?

As an “Audiobooks Engineering Manager”, you will be responsible for leading the Audiobooks technical team and make sure this is the best app for audio book fans. You and your team will work closely with a product manager, a designer, QA and the others Deezer teams.


What you will do:

  • Help management to set associated Objective Key Results for the team and the product

  • Build and run an inclusive, healthy, swift, proactive, talented, empowered, agile and motivated tech team

  • Set up performance indicators and be able to monitor and improve the performance of your team and its processes

  • Inspire and help to develop talents of your team

  • Discover and resolve dependencies with other Deezer tech teams

  • Ensure the technical work is following the industry standard of quality, scalability and reliability

  • Take part with your team in all agile ceremonies, and help with task estimation and prioritization

  • Manage technical debt and propose plans to absorb it

  • Animate an experimentation time at the service of the product to help growth and to foster innovation



  • Past experience managing a feature team of 5+ people working on a large scale mobile application (iOS and Android)

  • Strong technical background, with a practical experience in software development

  • Solid communication skills

  • Problem solver and data-driven decision-maker
