Partnerships are at the heart of our DNA and are one of the main drivers of our growth: today we are partnering with leading brands like Xbox, Sonos, Orange, BMW, Google Home, T-Mobile, Roku, Fnac or Fitbit.

As a Business Development Director within the Partnerships Team, you will be responsible for building strategic relationships with global partners to distribute and promote Deezer and develop new business lines. If you are seeking an opportunity that will allow you to significantly impact our core KPIs and own the growth of this strategic area of our business, you’re in the right place.

What will you do?

  • Shape Deezer’s partnering strategy globally by identifying strategic verticals & creating associated deals frameworks including scalable commercial models for global & local deployment
  • Identify, prioritise and pursue a pipeline of leads that have the potential to drive growth at global scale
  • Build credibility and establish key stakeholder relationships within partners’ organisation, including at Executive level
  • Structure, negotiate and close global partnership opportunities achieving sales goals and subscriber acquisition
  • Secure internal support and approvals for deals across cross-functional teams (such as Finance, Product, Tech, Legal), including at Executive level, by developing business cases, articulating market opportunity and clarifying resource requirements
  • Drive contractualisation of agreed terms until signature
  • Own forecasting & forecast attainment for global deals
  • Manage hand-over of signed partnerships for execution ensuring to secure forecast

Qualifications

What we are looking for:  

  • Degree in Business, or other relevant degrees; MBA a plus
  • 8+ years relevant working experience in Business Development in or related to, the Consumer Electronics or Telecommunications industries
  • Proven track record of signing complex deals with large companies and exceeding business goals
  • Analytical mind & strategic thinker
  • Strong Financial/Business modeling skills
  • Partner-oriented, forward thinking, driven attitude
  • Creative thinker, with a passion for problem solving
  • Strong negotiation, influencing & communication abilities to influence outcomes externally and internally, even without formal authority
  • Experience working internationally and across cultures
  • Fluent English (ability to manage complex negotiations, including contractual ones), other languages are a plus
  • Ability to travel
