Job Description

How about you?

We are currently looking for an ambitious User Research Intern to help us uncover and share actionable insights.

The aim of Research at Deezer is to ensure that product, marketing, and strategic decisions are made with the market and user firmly in mind. This means constantly keeping a pulse on both current and future users, around the world. We are inspired by our logged data, but look beyond internal analytics to explain why they are doing what they are doing now, and where we can take them next.

What you will do:

  • Support in the scope setting, design and analysis of a range of research projects; employing a mix of both qualitative and quantitative UX research methodologies.
  • Investigate user behavior using a combination of in-person or remote tools – from user interviews and usability testing to session heat maps and questionnaires.
  • Support project execution from prototype selection, protocol writing, testing to takeaways.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics teams to understand product usage and deliver a 360 view.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to prioritize product bugs based on analysis of feedback channels (i.e. App Store Reviews & Rankings, NPS surveys)
  • Support in the management of projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery of projects to a high standard.
  • Work closely with data science, machine learning, and usability teams to add fuel to findings


What we are looking for:

  • Ability to recommend and manage the right research design, and be able to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative user research.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous information to deliver clear and actionable insights.
  • Passionately curious, with the ambition and discipline to drive ideas to completion.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Psychology, HCI, Design or related.
  • Proficiency in English and French(oral & written) required, German or Portuguese a strong asset
  • Experience with one of the following prefered : Stata, SPSS or R.
