Define and implement the editorial strategy of Deezer in Europe, Africa and Asia
Manage a local decentralized team of 10 music editors and artist marketing managers
Piloting the development of playlisting strategy and create a user driven offer
Drive the talk strategy for the region through acquisition or commission of innovative, high-quality podcasts to reach new audiences via the Deezer platform
Identifying and launching a podcasts offering and potential original production
Work with artist marketing teams to develop and implement a successful artist marketing strategy ensuring a close relationship with artists in the regions and bringing additional experience to our users (sessions, live content etc...)
Increase artist and label awareness of Deezer as a brand in the regions.
Provide stakeholder feedback to Product team on artist and label tools e.g. Backstage, artist profiles
Work closely together with marketing and social media teams to secure content visibilty on our diverse promotion channels (CRM, socials, in app etc...)
Work in coordination with global teams based in Paris and London to maximise opportunities and optimize global / local strategies
Establish strong relationships with all major and independent music labels and publishers in the regions
Provide strategic and financial insight through reviews of Deezer's global business
Analyze relevant local catalogue missing and facilitate the negotiations
5+ years of experience in editorial, entertainment and/or media industry.
Strategic thinker with an eye for the detail
Ability to use data and transform it into winning strategies
Good negotiation skills
Experience in music programming and engaging users with curated playlists
Strong knowledge in music across all genres, more specifically current hits, urban and pop
Valuable network in the music industry, artists and managements around Europe
Track record in managing editorial teams and creative people
Good knowledge of the music, streaming landscape
Fluent english speaker
