Job Description

How about you?

We're looking for an experienced, impact-driven and passionate Group Product Manager who will own and drive the roadmap, and lead a team of product leads and product managers, for building the most engaging and compelling experiences for our users. 

You will work alongside your product team, inc. user researchers, data analysts, engineers, designers and marketing specialists, to build the right experiences to drive engagement of our users.

Reporting directly to the VP of Product and working closely with all the product teams of Deezer's ecosystem, your role is to develop and execute a strategy from inception to completion. 

What will you do?

  • Understand your users: build a strong understanding of users behaviors, needs, pain points and what they need to be happy and engaged. Gather and evaluate gaps and opportunities from users (user research, communities, etc.), competitor analysis, business opportunities and market trends. Mixing these insights should allow you to forge your own convictions and create a long term vision for your product area.

  • Prioritize the right problems: understand the vision and strategy of the company, the current business objectives of your startup and of other product teams and adapt your team's roadmap accordingly. Then make sure the rest of the company knows and understands your roadmap.

  • Develop innovative and bold experiences by engaging with a cross functional team: work in a very collaborative way with the design, the tech lead and engineering team. Create strong communication channels with other product teams, product marketing, legal, customer success and other key stakeholders to bring your experience in users hands.

  • Ensure that everyone is aligned and follow the product roadmap, and make sure that features are being released on time and are of a high quality.

  • Collaborate with marketing on all aspects of product growth that will impact user acquisition, retention, and engagement.

  • Define success metrics and work with analysts to make data informed decisions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of product management experience delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them -- and you're deeply proud of what you've accomplished

  • Leadership and management - You enjoy coaching, empowering, and growing product people. You invest in mentoring colleagues beyond your direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • User experience advocate - You deeply care about your users and relentlessly innovate for them.

  • Data informed - You use analytics to evaluate tradeoffs and drive prioritization.

  • You are an excellent communicator, and proactive at collaborating effectively with key cross-functional partners.

  • Innovate at a high pace - You love solving problems that haven’t been explored before and you believe in fast learning and experimentation.

  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process needs to be fluid and creative solutions must be the norm

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for learning

  • You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and take on something hands-on.

  • Experience mentoring and growing people.
