Job Description

As the Senior Product Manager in the Conversion team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and optimization of initiatives aimed at converting free users into paid subscribers. You will work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, data, engineering, and design to develop and test product features and campaigns that drive subscriptions. You will own the entire conversion funnel and be expected to deliver measurable results that align with the company’s growth objectives.

What you will do:

  • Lead Conversion Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive the conversion of free users to paying subscribers, focusing on user segmentation, personalized experiences, pricing optimization, and in-app feature enhancements.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze user behavior, identify friction points, and prioritize features and initiatives that have the highest potential to increase conversion rates. Leverage A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics tools to optimize strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, data, design, and engineering teams to implement user acquisition campaigns, product improvements, and in-app messaging that directly support conversion goals.

  • Customer Insights & Segmentation: Segment users based on their behavior, preferences, and usage patterns to deliver targeted strategies, offers, and content that appeal to each segment. Regularly gather and synthesize feedback from users to inform product decisions.

  • Growth Metrics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user conversion and retention, reporting on progress, challenges, and successes to senior leadership. Adjust strategy and tactics as necessary to meet conversion goals.

  • Product Feature Development: Identify, define, and prioritize product features aimed at increasing conversion rates, including subscription plans, payment flows, trials, incentives, and upsell opportunities.

  • Market Trends & Competitive Analysis: Stay on top of industry trends and competitive offerings to ensure our conversion strategies remain innovative and effective. Propose and implement new ideas based on emerging market needs.

  • Then make sure the rest of the company knows and understands your roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Deep understanding of subscription-based business models, including pricing strategies, user segmentation, and retention tactics.

  • Experience with A/B testing, user research, and product experimentation.

  • Familiarity with user engagement tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics) and subscription management platforms.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.

  • You are a true music fan  ;)

If you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above, tell us why you’d still be a great fit for this role in your application!
